As a teenager Amanda quickly developed a passion not only for music, but for leading other people to experience an encounter with God through the power of worship. Amanda spent her teenage years growing in her gifts as a musician and worship leader in youth group. She later went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Music and Worship and Biblical Studies from Northpoint Bible College with her husband Matt Souza (Pastor SouZy).
She has experience in music and worship leading in many different areas such as: leading travelling worship teams, developing worship teams, teaching music and worship seminars, writing and recording worship music, and more.
Amanda also had the privilege to serve as the Sectional Worship Representative of the Southern New England Assemblies of God District for Southwest Connecticut for a short time before moving away to Virginia.
Amanda now serves as our Executive and Music Director, not only leading worship weekly, but also overseeing the weekly ins and outs of the everyday functions of the church. She oversees all our ministries, volunteers and leaders, trains up new leaders, manages our Discord servers, and more. Amanda also streams music on Twitch, building relationships with other music streamers, aiming to be a light in that online community.
